His unique live sets combine improvised and layered loops on the violin over live sound sculpting across a variety analog synths, drum patterns, and mangled samples. We're excited and humbled to have TechnoFist founder, Damon Bradley, on the show this month! I had the pleasure of meeting Damon face-to-face in Berlin at Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL) a couple of weeks ago, and am very excited to hear what he's going to bring to our ears.

Damon Bradley is a veteran electronic music enthusiast, a house-head since 1989, techno/trance head since 1993, and DJing since 2005. Originally from Philly, Damon is the creator of TechnoFist and is one of the co-creators of SEQUENCE in Washington DC.

Damon Bradley, a resident of central Maryland, USA, was born and raised in South Philadelphia. It was here that he was first exposed to the beginnings of house music on Saturday nights on the legendary 105.3 FM WDAS R&B and classic soul radio station back in 1989. A few years later, while searching for new sounds, he stumbled on ambient, techno, and trance nearly simultaneously during the summer of 1993, on Drexel University’s WKDU 91.7 FM. During these formative years, Damon instantly fell in love with the sounds of Josh Wink, Sven Vaeth, Oliver Lieb, The Orb, Joey Beltram, Steve Roach, Aphex Twin, and just about anything released on the Harthouse, Strictly Rhythm, and R&S music labels. Damon only started DJ’ing around 2005, playing progressive house for a few parties and UMBC’s student radio station while in graduate school. He returned to his techno roots in 2010 and started DJ’ing techno in 2015 in Washington DC.

Damon’s musical influences span a very broad spectrum from ambient to industrial techno, groovy and soulful house, and melodic progressive trance. Currently, he’s focused on exposing the boundaries of techno to as many people as possible, and he does this using the TechnoFist group and TechnoFist podcast he created in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He curates both new and classic techno on TechnoFist which now has over 2,200 members, mostly from New York, Washington DC, and various European cities.

Damon has played in numerous places in Washington DC, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia including Jimmy Valentines, and Dr. Clocks Nowhere Bar for the Degenerate, Void Archive, and Phonic parties in DC, EXILE Brooklyn, Flash DC, Tilt, and Aphotic in Brooklyn. He's also played at Generator in Amsterdam in 2017. We're excited and humbled to have TechnoFist founder, Damon Bradley, on the show this month! I had the pleasure of meeting Damon face-to-face in Berlin at Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL) a couple of weeks ago, and am very excited to hear what he's going to bring to our ears.

Damon Bradley is a veteran electronic music enthusiast, a house-head since 1989, techno/trance head since 1993, and DJing since 2005. Originally from Philly, Damon is the creator of TechnoFist and is one of the co-creators of SEQUENCE in Washington DC.

Damon Bradley, a resident of central Maryland, USA, was born and raised in South Philadelphia. It was here that he was first exposed to the beginnings of house music on Saturday nights on the legendary 105.3 FM WDAS R&B and classic soul radio station back in 1989. A few years later, while searching for new sounds, he stumbled on ambient, techno, and trance nearly simultaneously during the summer of 1993, on Drexel University’s WKDU 91.7 FM. During these formative years, Damon instantly fell in love with the sounds of Josh Wink, Sven Vaeth, Oliver Lieb, The Orb, Joey Beltram, Steve Roach, Aphex Twin, and just about anything released on the Harthouse, Strictly Rhythm, and R&S music labels. Damon only started DJ’ing around 2005, playing progressive house for a few parties and UMBC’s student radio station while in graduate school. He returned to his techno roots in 2010 and started DJ’ing techno in 2015 in Washington DC.

Damon’s musical influences span a very broad spectrum from ambient to industrial techno, groovy and soulful house, and melodic progressive trance. Currently, he’s focused on exposing the boundaries of techno to as many people as possible, and he does this using the TechnoFist group and TechnoFist podcast he created in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He curates both new and classic techno on TechnoFist which now has over 2,200 members, mostly from New York, Washington DC, and various European cities.

Damon has played in numerous places in Washington DC, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia including Jimmy Valentines, and Dr. Clocks Nowhere Bar for the Degenerate, Void Archive, and Phonic parties in DC, EXILE Brooklyn, Flash DC, Tilt, and Aphotic in Brooklyn. He's also played at Generator in Amsterdam in 2017. Omari soon started promoting electronic music dance events at Netwerk One productions, and 2am Artist Management completely submerging himself into the industry and within the local New England/ East Coast (Maine to Florida), and producing some of the most memorable and largest events held from 1998 thru 2005.

Around 2003 Omari discovered a new love for the music and started buying records. Officially playing out since 2005 he has opened for Dj logic twice and was the first live resident DJ on Wxgr. Mixing a blend of Tech, synthy soul, and thunderous rolling bass lines, he creates long mixes and smooth blends/transitions.

In 2009 Omari teamed up with KVN aka El Camino in the studio as :The Collective". In 2014 The Collective was scrapped and production was split between HOUSE/DEEP TEC-HOUSE under the alias "Bumps and Bridges" and "AUDIO BIGOT" for the PROGRESSIVE/TECH-HOUSE/TECHNO sound.

With an upcoming release signed to "Society Music" out of Italy and a plethora of releases since 2009 on "Blinded", "Vainglory Recordings", "Interelectrical", "Label Works", (GMMS)-"Green Mono Music Studio", "Soak", "The Seed", "Aerotec", "Toxic" and a few releases on his own label "Tight Groove Recordings" Omari Nkosi stays focused and quite busy in the studio, banging airwaves of radio and internet stations, and rocking stages/dance floors from one end of the East Coast to to the other with his bass-driven Progressive Techno, Progressive Tech-house, and Techno fire.

Anya is an international DJette who was born in Russia, raised in the United States and now lives in Boston. Through her DJ career, she has been known to play many different styles of electronic music, including techno/house/deep prog, dark/forest/hitek psytrance subgenres, and IDM/experimental. Over a decade as an international touring DJ, an accomplished organizer in the Boston underground electronic scene with Sonic Beating Productions, logistics specialist for large festivals in Europe, booking agent and artist manager internationally... Anya has done it all!

She has played various events & festivals all over the US & is a Burning Man DJ veteran. Anya is an international DJette who was born in Russia, raised in the United States and now lives in Boston. Through her DJ career, she has been known to play many different styles of electronic music, including techno/house/deep prog, dark/forest/hitek psytrance subgenres, and IDM/experimental. Over a decade as an international touring DJ, an accomplished organizer in the Boston underground electronic scene with Sonic Beating Productions, logistics specialist for large festivals in Europe, booking agent and artist manager internationally... Anya has done it all!

She has played various events & festivals all over the US & is a Burning Man DJ veteran. She has performed stages and clubs in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, France, Canada, Morocco, Panama, Bolivia, Spain, Czech Rep, Croatia and more... Jason Snell is a prolific multidisciplinary artist whose work spans the field of electronic music, technological development, and film. His primary project is Bombardier, which became a shaping influence on the hardcore and experimental music scenes of the late 90’s (Drop Bass Networks, Hangars Liquides, Vinyl Communications). His music explores elements of drum n bass, industrial, and techno, while always containing a signature sound that is uniquely his own.

Bombardier has performed at shows and festivals throughout North America and Europe including DEMF and the main stage at Even Furthur. He has shared stages with artists of all genres including Perc, Fixmer McCarthy, Adam X, Cell Injection, Architect, Author & Punisher, Baseck, End User, Delta 9, and Christoph De Babalon.

On the technological side, he had designed and built experimental interfaces for over 15 years, most notably creating an artificial intelligence for an iOS generative sequencer called Refraktions. He has coordinated with the Ableton team in implementing their Link technology into his apps and does regular user testing for Native Instruments in Berlin.

His film work includes making musical scores for independent and horror films, the first of which premiered at Sundance. More recently he has moved into the director role with his first film “Fever” which was an official selection at the Berlin Independent Film Festival.

This show is going to feature one of my favorite sets ever! Marcus recorded this around 2001, just after having moved from NH down to Brooklyn to pursue his career as a specialist in body modification. He didn't really give the mix a title, but I always referred to it as Dumbo Damage.

AND....after having reached out to the ever elusive and reclusive man himself, I received permission to play a little something from around the same time frame, by none other than Obis Cygma. For those of you that were in the New England scene back then, you know what kind of aural assault you're in for. For those of you unfamiliar, strap on your six point harness cause you're about to go on a ride. ]]>
