"Philadelphia Maneto," the city of Philadelphia's motto, translates as "Let Brotherly Love Endure." In this spirit of togetherness, Young Robots label chief DJ Apt One curates a compilation of the Philadelphia and New Jersey area's eclectic and talented underground electronic and dance acts. From established acts Pink Skull and Todd Edwards (Daft Punk collaborator and half of Lux & Edwards) to local favorite DJs Billy W and Shawn Ryan (half of Superprince) to indie dance bands Nicos Gun and The Downtown Club, this record shows the depth and diversity of the scene. DJ Apt One remixes three live acts on the compilation, with an assist on the saxophone from his frequent collaborator, Fools Gold's Sammy Bananas. Instamatic, SAUR (My Techno Ways A Ton), aupl and mysterious house guru NITEWAX round out the record.

The tracks by Nicos Gun, The Downtown Club and Instamatic and their respective remixes by DJ Apt One will appear on a limited run vinyl release available in the Philadelphia area this summer and digitally via turntablelab.com.

Philadelphia's premier listener-supported radio station, WXPN FM, will co-sponsor the digital release, which will be available for free as well as through all Young Robots' usual digital sales outlets.

The release of the compilation will coincide with a July 18th concert on Philadelphia's Race Street Pier and a subsequent afterparty, featuring acts from Philadelphia Maneto.
