Grammy nominated DJ producer StoneBridge was in Detroit for a show, being deeply impressed by a song played by the opening DJ Matt Aubrey- It featured the most amazing voice of a true soul man - the kind that you only can find in Motown. A meeting was set up and a collaboration started between local producers Matt Aubrey & Holevar and StoneBridge. The singer, Hassan Watkins joined the three and Hold On was recorded and released on Stoney Boy Music.

A year later, a special remix was made, the StoneBridge UK Mix that got the attention and support of Swiss superstar EDX and now a second vocalist, LaRae Starr was brought in for a special version of the song ready to see the light in 2016 - Hold On (StoneBridge UK Mix Remaster).
