Steve was inspired by early 80's hip hop the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Kraftwerk, Herbie Hancock and Afrika Bambaataa, And also the original electro sound going out on the streetsounds label which was way ahead of its time back then.

Later into the 80s house, techno, acid and rave cultures coming from Chicago, Detroit, New York and especially all that was going on in the UK at that time.

The likes of David Morales, Frankie Knuckles Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May & Juan Atkins, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Slam, Sasha, John Digweed as some of his biggest inspirations for becoming a dj, His longstanding influences in these genre's spurs him on as he strives to evolve his sound keeping it fresh and up to date not scared of trying new ideas.
