The digital division of Baroque Records kicks off 2015 with one of their most anticipated releases to date.

It features the return of Stereo For Two to the label. Tim Verhees and Joris Bylemans make up the Stereo For Two production team and currently reside in Antwerp, Belgium. The duo have built an incredible discography over the course of their two and a half year partnership. Releases on Baroque Records, System Recordings, Spring Tube Limited and Suffused Music have all been quite good and their newest single ‘Strong’ Looks to be even better.

Stereo For Two had many standout productions over the course of 2014 but one of my favourites was their remix of Micheal, Levan and Stiven Rivic’s ‘Frostbite’ which was released by Suffused Music. The uniqueness of the grooves and musicality they added to the piece was really captivating and it’s a track I still go back and listen to every now and again. On ‘Strong’ the Belgium based duo have crafted more deep, ethereal sounding magic. A throbbing groove and smooth rhythms set the framework while distinctive lines and gorgeous vocal samples floats through the atmosphere. Pulsating bass stabs and a textural drift dominate the main break and lift the heavenly vibes even higher before a smooth second half conclusion takes you home. Gorgeous work from Stereo For Two.

The first remix of ‘Strong’ is provided by Indepth who is making his sixth appearance on Baroque Records. Shahar Melamed aka Indepth hails from Haifa, Israel and aside from releasing regularly on Spiral Trax and Plusquam also holds a residency at top Israeli club LUNA. For his ‘Strong’ interpretation Shahar has taken the deep, sultry vibes from the original and reworked them into a driving, energetic, techno inspired piece. Lots of clever vocal edits, rolling claps and a bubbly top line more than keep your mind dancing while the strength of the groove is perfect for a late night dance floor. Brilliant stuff from Indepth.

The second and final interpretation of ‘Strong’ is provided by Noraj Cue who is making his first appearance on Baroque Records. The Dutch producer had an amazing 2014 with his productions for Manual Music (many of which in conjunction with Paul Hazendonk), Perspectives Digital and FutureForm Music leading the way. Known for his quirky and incredibly catchy rhythms Noraj has once again worked that hooky magic on ‘Strong’. A rolling groove sits nicely at the foundation while a collage of irresistible electronics weaves their way throughout the cavernous framework. The energy generated here is practically boundless and a suspenseful break only adds anticipation for the storming conclusion. Huge remix from Noraj and an awesome release for Baroque Records. Don’t miss it.
