Brilliant little party venue, with a mint up for it crowd who know their tunes, with an absolute mint atmosphere all night
The mix with it being live is it a bit 'rough n ready' but it brings the goods :)
I wanted to chuck on loads of different styles of old skool style 88-92 within the set and its bangin from the off

This one I would say bubbles along then bam you get a slammer, and so on and so forth, then the final pay off is the last handful of tunes. This is the one of the styles of the newer breakbeat sounds I'm into, so there is a nu skool vibe but with plenty of old skool breaks blended in and retro throwbacks all at a groovy house tempo. I would recommend listening to the first 2 volumes first if you have not heard these before, so you can hear where I'm going with this music.

Out the record box, I went full on rave with this and the atmosphere was incredible! The whole event was just off the scale!
This is for me, is probably the best set I have done in there
Expect massive old skool breakbeat sounds, loads of BASS, euphoric pianos, rap samples, tidy vocals snips and elements of techno rave
If your stuck for something to listen and need a boost up, whack this on, it will surely warm ya cockles!

I do make a bit of effort with these :) Theres some real nice italo piano chuggers, super funk classics, old skool minters and some proper guilty pleasures make for a great mix of tunes. Yes, it's the usual blend of 80s rap, hip-hop, pop, soul, house, old skool, funky breaks and classic cheese!!

Mixed in the usual proper casual like manner. I don't worry to much about cue points with these mixes just get a basic flow. Although there are a few cool blends :)

You know, these funk bombs aren't that popular online, to be honest, but they are with me, I always listen to them over and over as they link back to my early NOSTALGIA days big time ;)

There's a few wobbles here and there but the track selection is brill

Realise these aren't everyone's cup of tea and in fact they are for my own

listening pleasure but if your chillin' or mashed up horizontal or you wanna do some funky sofa dancing these are the mixes for you!

This one doesn't have that much hip hop only a few, its more 80's cheeky edits and extended versions from back in the day, top beats and then it goes all plodding nature intended tempo old skool piano classics with a proper uplifting vibe, finishing with an 80s pop classic Gem :)

I thought it would be a good idea if I re-did my set on the night for Jims birthday because, only a bit got recorded in the end and also there were some technical hitches. Saying that Im rough as fuck and its a bit rough around the edges! But its the full picture from what I remember I played. I had a moment of clarity and when i played a tune I put it back in order of play! Wooh get me :)

I was only warming up at 8pm after Antz set, which was ace btw. A couple id not heard before :)
As all the DJs played blinders actually :)

Anyway back to my mix :) Its not anthem bashing but good tunes nevertheless

Interesting trivia, trivia fans, I mixed this through headphones as the monitor had failed, think it got fixed later on in the night though. There are some wobbly bits but there are top vibes in this mix and a few cool blends. Pulled off a few cool blends as well :) This mix was done on Technics 1210's and records. When it gets going its proper lively and would be a good mix to put on when your getting ready to go out raving ;) I will do another Old Skool mix later in the year but it will be a bit more underground and not as piano orientated, of course there will be piano tunes on it, you know me. To be honest today is the first day I hooked my speakers back up and played loud, I was messing with the headphones on since I got them back! So jumped into the abyss somewhat :)
A man with few words might say, Its like the other 2 volumes but I'm not that man ha! So while it is similar to the other two with different tunes, its like listening to smooth FM for ageing ravers! :) Most of the tunes are american, as they had this soulful vibe boxed off back in the day lets face it but there's a UK tune and a couple of Italian tunes in the mix.
Famous last words, I think I will leave this set of mixes as a trilogy, hahaha, like its a set of films..
