Eiger - Epoch LP | STARKEditions [SEFour] | 2018

by STARKFutures Recordings

'I’ve never once sat down and purposely written for a dance floor. My music is all about how I feel and often, unless I feel something, I don’t make the effort. Almost always I create something from an emotion…to change my mood or to sit with it and use the process and result as some sort of therapy. So I never really create to please anyone other than me.
Half way through ‘Epoch’ I went into a peak of deep anxiety. I questioned my existence (The Soul & The Embryo) and how far I have come (Parsec).
My mood was affecting my work so I took to writing synth and pad lines on an iPad on my commute like some sort of mantra; 80% of this was written on the tube.
A cross genre instalment, heavy on synths (I’d listened to the new Stranger Things soundtrack around this time; a lot), each track is really an expression of the mood I was in.

Special Thanks to Zeno & Fuze.
