Music and sounds of Steven Slater

I took up DJing at 15, some 20+ years ago; a natural progression from collecting live recordings leaked from clubs from clubs all over the world & making ropey pause-button mix-tapes during my time in school.

I became hooked on the House & Techno coming out of Chicago, Detroit & New York over the years, & a little by the early Hip-hop scene that preceded it. With age, I've become more acquainted with its history & grown to love the Funk, Soul & Disco that inspired the music being produced today.

Im not one for throwing together 15 of the latest promo's. Great music shouldn't be disposable & deserves a reintroduction every once in a while! The digital age is cool, but Im a vinyl junkie at heart.
