Back in 1998 - 2002 when hardcore techno/speedcore went poor and the hardcore scene wasn't as popular as it was, I played a lot of 'newstyle' gabber sets to try and get a new crowd listening to mellower hardcore and coming to clibs again.

I still played the harder stuff around this time too :)
