This show had its premiere at 7 December 2002 and has been aired on a total of nine different stations. It started as a five hour show which covered most of the genres in EDM, and stayed that way, with some exceptions like shorter airtime until 2009.

After Radio 3 Norge decided to launch the concept Dancefloor, TranceChill was then split in two parts, where the trance bit of the show stayed the same and since then the show's main focus has been uplifting, progressive and vocal trance.
