We're going out with a double-length two hour bang (ooh-er!). JACK IN BOX is the man behind Future Breakz Records and his productions over the last few years have been among my favourite. He collaborates regularly with Fracus & Darwin - and many of the tunes you'll hear here include Darwin's talents - and here you get TWO HOURS of full on JiB love as broadcast on Kniteforce Radio.
Listen to why he's one of, if not the favourite "new" producer I have over the last couple of years, and hear nothing but stuff from the man himself. BIG UP PAUL and thank you to everyone else for listening to these podcasts :)

The penultimate episode in this series sees schranz techno legend INSTIGATOR get the WRT treatment!
I became a fan of Instigators work fairly soon after he started releasing tracks, and to be honest I was honoured - and a bit gobsmacked - when he agreed to remix "Killerwhale" for the 10th anniversary remix CD on Endor Recordings. His is the only hard techno that as far as I know got played on a Thursday night at Glastonbury Festival (and it went down briliantly), and Bruce has played at places such as Connexion, Decibel, and much more.
His style is relentless, pure energy, and that's why I love it so much. I've often found myself trying to work out how he makes his tunes and trying to deconstruct and emulate his work for my own knowledge and benefit, and he's my favourite techno artist - end of. He's also criminally overlooked - so if you run events get him in! It's an honour - as always - to showcase the work of the people I've picked for this series. Big up INSTIGATOR!

Vibes & Wishdokta (aka Shane Levan and Grant Nelson) have cropped up time and time again in my favourite tracks throughout my "happy hardcore" musical journey. One of the first proper hardcore tracks I loved was Fantasia (after hearing it on the Fantazia 93 album), and so many other tracks I loved turned out to be V&W tracks, discovered once I started DJing.
The sublime blend of pianos, kickdrums, amen breaks, incredible sub-bass workouts and cheeky samples means I'll always come back to them. It's also a sound I try to emulate in my breakbeat hardcore tracks. You might think of Fracus & Darwin, Dougal & Gammer, or Force & Styles, but Vibes & Wishdokta are the originators of the hardcore duo, and possibly the best. It's an honour to devote a double length show to their work. Biggup guys!

Been a long time coming this episode, and for the first time I got to focus on someone I happen to know personally.
Josh is someone who I always look forward to seeing what he comes up with next, and is HUGELY underrated in the music scene. He's a great bloke to boot, always willing to listen to everyone and speak honestly and in a friendly fashion. Musically, I always find myself doing myself down when comparing myself to him (so much so I get told off for it haha!), like I sit in front of the DAW, knowing I have similar samples, the same tools at my fingertips, the same ideas, but he always seems to do it better than I can.
I don't mean this in a nasty or envious way however, more that I see it as a standard to continually aspire to, and while he keeps pushing the boundaries, coming up with fresh sounds, it gives me the impetus to continue striving for better. It's an honour to put this mix together. BIGGUP JAKAZID!

BIGGUP JAKAZID!</itunes:summary>

Here we are with the sixth episode in my series of artists who have had a huge influence on my DJing or music.
I was a massive fan of Moby from around 1991 until his Animal Rights album in 1996 or so. Every release on Mute records was an instant purchase, and I was just as enthused by his "B sides", such as The Blue Light of the Underwater Sun and his ambient stuff as I was his more well known tracks. His was the first piano and ambient stuff I listened to and I hold responsible for my keenness in piano music to this day. And his album Everything Is Wrong coincided with my decision to start making music - as such I tried to emulate much of what he was doing as I started out learning.
It's an honour to play an hour of the music that was so impressionable during that era. This is a proper journey, thanks to all my regular listeners and anyone who loves this mix.

Having started off by giving a demo tape to Keith Flint (RIP) back in the early 90s, they made their way through the underground rave scene, to the overground rave scene, to the overground everything scene.
I'm lucky to have seen The Prodigy play many times, from Universe Tribal Gathering right through to their huge gig at Milton Keynes bowl just minutes from my house. Each time the energy has been infectious, from the stage antics to the actual production of the music itself. And of the production, Liam is the best breakbeat engineer I can think of, getting such weight out of the beats it's unbelievable.
It's an honour to play my favourite tracks, right from the day I first picked up the XL Recordings promo tape with Android on it. BIG UP.

Later on as I got further into DJing, I found out that many of my favourite tracks on DJ Easygrooves tapes were Alec's tunes.
A few years later I purchased The Destroyer, to this day my favourite breakcore album. I listened to it over and over, and a few years later breakcore really took hold here in the UK. Death Chant Records is my absolute favourite gabber label, and one of the first albums I bought was The Rehydration of Violence way back in 1998, when going crazy upstairs in the technodrome at The Sanctuary was one of the best feelings on earth, haha! Serious Evil Shit Mission is still my favourite gabber track of all time, and the label has maintained a superb quality through over two decades of music.
As well as that, Hellfish's sets are nothing short of savage and there's a very good reason he's a Bang Face regular - because he's a superb DJ. It's an absolute honour to featuring him in this mix and show you over 20 reasons why he deserves to be part of this series. BIG UP.

A man who needs no introudction to anyone in the rave scene, Matt has been producing and DJing for pretty much 30 years now, and was there right from the start. One of my first rave tapes was Slipmatt at Fantazia, and my favourite hardcore tune of all time happens to be a track he had a hand in engineering (for the record, it's Positive Energy by Vibena). He's behind Universal Recordings, one of the best happy hardcore labels from the 90s, and is crediting the happy hardcore scene as a whole with his SMD series.
Basically, he's a legend, of which few people have the right to hold that title. In this mix, it's an honour to show his brevity through his involvement in SL2, the SMD series, and in his amazing skills as a remixer. Respect.

Kicking off a new series of live mixes on Kniteforce Radio, each episode will focus on an artist I admire and has an influence on my music. I'm kicking off with DJ FRACTURE.
"Fracture is a connoisseur of fine cuisine and hot sauces. When he’s not in the kitchen, he can be found running the Astrophonica label and releasing on pioneering British dance music labels such as Metalheadz and Exit Records.
As for the music Fracture makes, it isn’t easily categorisable. You can hear his blend of traditional aesthetics and new sounds in the 2012 underground smash ‘Get Busy’, for dBridge’s Exit Records, his 2013 low slung remix of Digital & Spirit’s ‘Phantom Force’, the hands-in-the-air thrills of 2014’s award winning and cross over ‘Loving Touch’ and 2015’s collaboration with Manchester’s Chimpo on Metalheadz. 2016’s Hype Tracks EP on Exit Records - including a collaboration with Teklife’s Spinn & Taso - furthers the blend and was play-listed by Beats1 and Apple Radio. Fracture has also been sighted in the studio alongside likeminded contemporaries including Bristol’s Sam Binga, fellow veteran Kid Drama, and in 2016 with an array of Exit artists and guest vocalists as part of the Richie Brains supergroup. From stripped back rhythmic workouts to sweaty dancehall riddims via emotive compositions and catchy sample flips, Fracture’s music has a little of everything." - Resident Advisor
