Her works are most often composed in direct response to unique architectural spaces using a combination of kinetic devices and found objects. The places and the people there are very important for the context of many of Rie Nakajima’s installations and performances. In the live sound performance at Ting Shuo, Rie will transform the performance space through a live sound performance piece, and provide the viewers with extraordinary experiences by making the most delicate sounds and high pitched sounds using found objects, porcelain, paper, string, and her self-made electronic units. She has exhibited and performed widely both in the UK and overseas and has produced ‘Sculpture’ with David Toop since 2013. With Keiko Yamamoto she has a music project ‘O YAMA O’ which explores music with no genre. She is from Yokohama and currently based in London.]]></description>

Alvin Lee Siu-hin was influenced by pop music and started to learn music and various instruments at his young age. His works involve the exploration of sound and musical composition. In this performance, Alvin will present to the audience his approach to minimal improvisation using guitars and amplifier.]]></description>

::::上村洋一 Yoichi Kamimura (日本 Japan):::: yoichikamimura.com 來自東京的藝術家上村洋一關注於聲音與環境之間的關係，並對於各地的人們透過文化和宗教的角度，以不同的方式審視過去、現在與未來感興趣。他思考自然與人為、過去與現在、聽覺與視覺等之間的關係，其作品受概念藝術影響，在不同場域中錄製環境音，並將研究收集而來的素材組成裝置作品。他認為在我們感受當代所處的環境的同時，擁有由概念性思考、認知、生理及心理感受結合的多重體驗是很重要的。他相信這些感知將成為在未來影響我們生活的關鍵。與梅沢英樹在日本東京Futarri（2017）、日本神奈川縣《世界聆聽日》（2017）和Z《0°C》（2016）中以雙人組合形式演出。 Yoichi Kamimura (b.1982) is a Tokyo-based artist. He is interested in the relationship between sound and scenery, as well as the various ways people perceive past, present, and future through the cultural and religious lenses of different areas of the world. It means that is thinking the relationship of between nature and artificiality, past and present, sound and vision. His production and works that are even while under the influence of conceptual art present perceptual experiences to audience by recording environment sound (Field Recording), moving and staying in various places, and process that is developing into artworks from materials by those research. Because he thinks it's important that we feel the contemporary world we live with fluxes of complex experience consisted of conceptual thinking, recognition and biotic, psychological sensibility. He believes that these senses will be our guide to live in affluence in the future.

He also released 10 CDs from all over the world, including collaboration works with Marihiko Hara (Dumb Type). Now he is working on new collaborative work with Marihiko for the fashion exhibition, which will be held in Nov, 2017. His new multi-channel concert with François Baschet’s sculpture will be held in 16 Dec, 2017 at Tokyo University of the Arts.]]></description>
