After a hugely successful May 2015 debut, I was delighted to make my return to the Egg on NYD 2016 for their daytime event to offer the very best of both worlds, 2 sets in 2 different rooms - classics (main room) and modern Trance (terrace)!!!

The most important thing for me as a DJ is to play for the crowd and this involves having the ability to read them. The response, in turn is transferred back to me through smiles of appreciation, hand gestures, arms in the air with occasional singing and dancing. Whilst playing, I fed off the audience's positive energy and was so pleased to see that both rooms were absolutely packed (it wasn't even midnight!!!). The atmosphere was reminiscent of those underground clubbing days including the distinct dripping of sweat from the ceilings - all indications of a good time!! :)

NYD 2016 was truly spectacular and words alone cannot do it justice. It was all about being caught in the moment and you really had to be there to experience the unique vibrancy, first-hand. Besides the fact that it was a SOLD OUT gig, the turnout was by all accounts, the best Trance Sanctuary hosted event yet!!! Hats off to the organisers as well as to all those who attended. What a tremendous milestone of an achievement for the very start of 2016!!

A carefully structured escapade into the inner workings of Trance, delving into a foray of progressive, tech, uplifting and psy. A combination of exclusive tune selection and focused set construction generates that unique energy and flow which takes this mix to another level!!! When I start feeling a variety of emotions, it's usually a good indicator that chemistry is occurring in the mix. If you become lost in this musical whirlpool, then hopefully I've succeeded with my definition of Trance :).

Also, REBOOTED Vol.06 features one of the finest Trance producers ever who consistently featured in my record box (back when I actually had one!) and on my mixes. He made some of the most prolific and sentimental Trance tracks which captured global attention - even before Trance was actually considered a scene!!! Many thanks to everyone who made it to our first Gatecrasher REBOOTED event!!! It’s safe to say that the gig was a breath of fresh air and in turn, our driven and dynamic clubbers, were very responsive. The wonderful lineup of djs - Magnus, Scott Bond , Ferry Tayle, Manuel Le Saux, Standerwick , James Dymond, Simon Templar & Danny Stubbs, each contributed their own unique style and the night stood up well. From build-up to peak time Trance into the early hours of Sunday morning, there was something special for everyone.

The venue, Bed where the gig took place worked really well with a sensational Laser, C02, Lighting, LED Screen display and an awesome sound system! I’ve always said that it’s the people who make these gigs so memorable and I was absolutely delighted with the turnout. A good crowd makes a good club and many of you showed up from early doors and stayed right until the very end!!]]>

Despite the spontaneity as well as some challenging weather conditions, an authentic, Gatecrasher lineup featuring the likes of Mauro Picotto, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, Art of Trance, Talla2XLC, Taucher and myself was enjoyed by all those who attended this special evening.

My 90 minute set revisited some of those classic Trance tunes which I first broke at the Republic and were featured in many of my closing sets. As Winter is upon us, savour the sentimental warmth of this mix in true Gatecrasher style!!!

Happy New Year everybody!!! I can already anticipate that some great things will happen in 2015. Watch this space ;)......

What was the Exposure Festival? Well, in a nutshell, it marked the year's biggest "online" dance music event and was the first of its kind. This boasted 60 DJs, spread across 6 arena streams featuring a range of different styles such as Trance, Harder, Progressive, Techno and Psy, plus a special arena hosted by Technique-DJs.com and Trance.nu. The entire show aired on Digitally Imported Radio (www.di.fm) on Friday 5th September 2003.

As technology and production techniques advanced, so did the music. This set is just a small selection of some of my many Trance discoveries around that time. Fuelled with all that necessary magic and mystery, passion and energy. For the next 90 minutes escape into my world!!

Initially what started out as a small intimate gig soon changed as floods of clubbers suddenly started pouring in from the main entrance, the VIP lounge, the darkest corners of the club and the smoking area. It was absolutely packed out and reminded me of something from Noah's Ark! All of this and I was only 15 minutes into my set!

Here's my mix from the night, packed full of surprises. It features a fruitful assortment of the latest material including productions from my REBOOTED label as well as exclusive reworks, closing on one of my all time great signature tunes.

May the fourth be with you!!! Gatecrasher Presents at GCB was another spectacular event delivered in the name of Trance. It really was a memorable occasion with superb line-ups in different rooms which paid homage to those Gatecrasher NEC days.

I came on to the decks at 11:30pm, mixed in my first tune and was delighted to see a mesmerizing lighting display and a triumphant showcase of hands in the air. From that moment on, I knew that I would have to focus on setting the mood for peak time Trance.

It’s great playing during this time slot as I can really connect with the crowd and read how they are feeling the music. I allowed myself to get carried away by the night, surfing a kaleidoscope of colours with a multitude of melodies and beats erupting from each tune. At this point, I can comfortably say that I am in my element, entertaining the masses with a REBOOTED assortment of Trance excellence!!! I unleashed several exclusives, most notably Standerwick's take on my new production, “Airfoil” and my 2014 remix of a tune that was specifically made with Gatecrasher in mind, “Scott Bond Pres. Q-Dos – I’m Not Going Home”. Expect to hear more about these soon but in the mean-time here is the mix for your well-deserved ears.

It really was a memorable occasion with superb line-ups in different rooms which paid homage to those Gatecrasher NEC days. I came on to the decks at 11:30pm, mixed in my first tune and was delighted to see a mesmerizing lighting display and a triumphant showcase of hands in the air. When I was asked to play, safe to say that I could have relied on the traditional tried and tested approach to Trance classics that we all know and love. I do however like to challenge myself and bring a sense of adventure and excitement into my performance. Achieving familiarity by adding my REBOOTED take on things was the main objective and I wanted to create something special, fresh and of course pay homage to the theme of the arena. I was sent some amazing material in preparation for this event and had more than enough tunes to play beyond my allotted 75 minute set. Unfortunately, due to matters out of my control, the flight was delayed and heavy traffic getting to Bloemendaal Beach meant that I could only play for an hour.

This mix is a special extended treat for everybody who likes my style, attended a sensational gig and have waited patiently for a new mix. I hope that you enjoy listening to it as I did putting it all together :)

The wait is over!!! I'm really excited to reveal the latest offering from the RΞBOOTΞD stables!!! The third installment of this ever evolving phenomenon has returned to make its mark on the global trance community once again!!!

Imagine an intricate selection of priceless trance music mixed in such a meticulous manner that when you press play it will be like opening Pandora's box. Instead of unleashing some deadly sins (well perhaps a few!!), it will be a 3 hour symphony of musical splendour featuring the latest delights that will captivate your world as it has mine :)

This mix has been brought to you through a fusion of methods. Firstly, there's music that has been well-received at my live gigs over the last couple of months. Secondly, out of the music that I get sent and discover, these tunes have undergone a strict process of elimination, in a bid to offer the best of the best to all of you!!!

There's such a variety of tunes featured in "REBOOTED Vol.03" which positions the mix well and makes us appreciate that there is a lot of choice within the trance landscape these days. I'll be the first to openly admit that I've never been into classifications, mainly because they're in abundance!! I'm not a follower of the latest trend and have always been a believer in two types of music, good or bad. I assess on whether the tune is firstly any good and secondly, did it stand out to me - who made it, what label it is on or if another DJ has been playing it out is irrelevant.

I have created a 3 hour mix which I would consider be a tapestry of trance. "REBOOTED Vol.01" is first in a series of cutting edge, uplifting trance. It is a mix woven with care and attention, containing the finest ingredients to have graced my ears in 2012. This should not to be perceived as a "Best of 2012" or "An End of Year 2012" mix but more of an extended online mix album, crafted with that same degree of quality.
