Daksinamurti is a psychedelic trance artist and Ethnologist based in Marburg, Germany. He has been performing at events and festivals worldwide since 17 years and is the co-founder and manager of Sangoma Records. In 2013 Daksi started to produce and release music under his name or as “Android Spirit”.
As a young man Till discovered what was called “Goa trance” on the beaches and jungle in India in the 1990s. Since then he developed a diverse taste and studied and experienced the effects of mind-bending music on the human body. He is on an ongoing quest to discover exiting contemporary music and release it on the labels Sangoma and Timecode, which he runs with his label-partner Emiel from Qatar.
Till combined his passion for anthropology, music and culture and put his experience into various projects, festivals and music related work within and beyond the psychedelic scene.
During the years Till has built a reputation within the international scene; sharing his musical visions and vibes at various parties and festivals like Boom (Portugal), Ozora Festival (Hungary), Modem (Croatia), Universo Paralello (Brazil), Sonica (Italy) Psy-Fi (Netherlands), Hadra Trance Festival (France), Rezonance/ Alien Safari (South Africa), Summer Never Ends (Switzerland), Universal Religion (Nepal), Antaris (Germany), VuuV (Germany), Fusion (Germany), Waldfrieden (Germany), Second Horizon (Germany), Insomnia Festival (Portugal), Freedom Festival (Portugal), S.U.N Festival (Hungary) …
Since his first compilation on Shiva Space Technology in 2006 Till has contributed over 10 compilations and released music on various labels such as Sangoma, Timecode, Blue Hour Sounds, Phantasm, Fractal, Digital Psionics, Forestdelic. As “Android Spirit” together with his friend Josef (Brethren/Tickets) they released the debut album “Synthetic Organism” on Timecode Records in 2014 as well as two EPs on BMSS records (2015) and Digital Psionics (2017).
Till describes his sound as Trance inducing conscious Psytrance that can range from night to light. Daksinamurti enjoys playing extended DJ sets far from predictability and stereotypes in order to create a colorful, energetic journey suitable for dance floors at any hour of the party. Sangomesque music, in a forest friendly outfit, that can carry the timeless essence of the Goa days.
Till’s love for diversity, mystical themes and shamanism are also reflected in multiple compilation releases he worked on – always evolving his perspective of contemporary psychedelic music and culture.
