(Lyrics) Who Is, Who Was, And Who Is To Come Spoken Ver
Words and Music by Leslie (aka Jesse) Hughes ©

Who is, who was, and who is to come?
Is it John or God Almighty’s Son?
Is it the New Creation, or the image of the word?
Just exactly who has spoken, and who has witnessed what he heard?
(See Revelation timeline references following lyrics)

Now the faithful witness in righteousness returns to the Father and rests (Jn 16:5-15, Heb 4:1-13)
And Satan falls like lightning from heaven (Lk 10:18)
That comes from the east and is visible even in the west
So will be the coming of the son of man (Mt 24:27)
And John is told to “Worship God” (Rev 19:10, Rev 22:8-9)
And not fall down to be circumcised by that temple idol’s hands (Rev 1:17, 2Th 2:4)

For Satan will oppose and exalt himself over everything (lyrics inspired by 2Th 2:4)
That is called God or is a worshiped thing
So that he sets himself up in God’s temple
Proclaiming himself to be God
Though he is really the devil (Rev 12:7-10, 2Co 11:13-15, Zec chapter 3, Jude 1:9, Rev 19:11 to 20:10)
(Spoken: Brothers and Sisters this is the War of Armageddon Rev 15:7 to Rev 16:16 )

The devil is the accuser of our brothers (and sisters) (lyrics inspired by Rev Chapter 12)
Before our God both day and night
But the devil is not strong enough for God Almighty’s power and might
And the devil is going to be hurled down to earth
And his angels with him
When the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God
And the authority of his Christ has risen
For he was without sin (lyric inspired by Heb 8:7-13, Heb 3:1 to Heb 5:10, Heb 9:9-10)
And your ceremonial washings are going to come to an end
And the New Order is going to begin

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance (lyrics inspired by book of Jude)
For your salvation
And contend with your faith before the men
Whose condemnation was written about long ago
And who have secretly slipped in
They are godless men
Who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality
And deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord
And that Jesus Christ will set us free

For the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt
But later destroyed those who did not believe it
And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority
But abandoned their own home
These he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains
For judgment on the great Day
When God, who is over all be forever praised! (ancient scrolls Ro 9:5)
Reclaims the human ancestry of Christ to be his own
Our people will come back to the City of God, that is their true home (Heb 11:13-16)
( Spoken: In the New Order we are going to be both heirs of God
And heirs of Christ. because the Spirit of Truth is the Lord, and by the power of
The Holy Spirit Jesus is both the Lord and the Christ see 2Co 3:17, Ro 10:6-9, 1Jn 2:22-27)

The whitewashed walls (lyrics inspired by Acts 5:1-10, Acts 23:1-3, Acts 13:20-23)
Who violated the law
By striking down Paul
And making him Saul
Will no longer oppressively rule over us at all
And Saul’s kingdom is going to come to an end
For they lied to the Holy Spirit
God and Men
And all the Philips are among them
Why they tested the Spirit of the Lord
And Saul’s kingdom is going to come to an end (Acts 13:20-23)
And the old order is going to fade away
When the New Order begins on a certain day called Today (Heb 4:4-7)
“By calling this covenant “new” (Heb 7:13)
(The Spirit who is the Lord see 2Co 3:17)
He has made the first one obsolete
And what is obsolete and aging
Will soon disappear”

The Spirit of Truth is the Lord (2Co 3;17, Isa chapter 11)
And where the Spirit of the Lord is
There is freedom
Love your neighbor as yourself
Sums up the entire law (Gal 5:14)
If we do that we have satisfied it all
The law is not “do and do, do and do (lyrics from Isa 28:9-17)
Rule on rule, rule on rule,
A little here, a little there”
“I will make justice the measuring line
And righteousness the plumb line
Hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie
And water will overflow your hiding place”
Love your neighbor as yourself
Sums up the entire law (Gal 5:14)
If we do that we have satisfied it all
And in the New Covenant
That simple law is going to be written
In our hearts and our minds (lyrics from Heb 10:15-18, Heb 8:7-13 and Jer 31:31:34)
“I will put my laws in their minds, and write them on their hearts
I will be their God, and they will be my people
No longer will a man teach his neighbor
Or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord'
Because they will all know me
From the least of them to the greatest
For I will forgive their wickedness
And will remember their sins no more”

Who is, who was, and who is to come?
Is it John or God Almighty’s Son?
Is it the New Creation, or the image of the word?
Just exactly who has spoken, and who has witnessed what he heard?

God Almighty and Jesus the Son of God answer:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,
The First and the Last,
The Beginning and the End” (see Rev 1:8, Rev 16:5, Rev 21:6, Rev 22:13)
“Who is, and who was, and who is to come
The Almighty” (Rev 1:8)
And John is told to “Worship God” (Rev 19:10, Rev 22:8-9)
And not fall down at the feet of the sons of man as though dead (Rev 1:17)
And it is God Almighty who is just in his judgments
“You who are and who were, the Holy One” (Rev 16:5)
For God Almighty is not the beast who “once was,
Now is not, and yet will come” (Rev 17:8)
“The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king.
He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.” (Rev 17:11)
And the beast and the false prophet will be captured (Rev 19:11-21)
Along with the ten kings who did not worship God’s word (Rev 17:12)
“They will make war against the Lamb (Rev 17:14)
But the Lamb will overcome them
Because he is Lord of lords and King of kings
And with him will be his called chosen and faithful followers”

"I did not see a temple in the city (lyrics from Rev 21:22-26)

Because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it
For the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp
The nations will walk by its light
And the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it
On no day will its gates ever be shut
For there will be no night there
The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it"
When we deliver our people out of Egypt (Book of Jude)

And the Gospel references that follow):

John is beheaded and circumcised under the altar (Rev 1:17, Mt 14:1-12, Mk 6:14-12, Lk 3:19-20)
With the slain Passover Lambs dressed up in white robes (Rev 6:9-11)
Where there is a dragons head
Whose fatal wound has been healed (Rev 13:3)
And Jesus says John is the son of man (Mt 17:13-17)
Transfigured into Jonah
In the belly of the whale
To become the images of the beast of the seas
Spit out to tell a lying, blasphemous, accusatory tale (Rev Chapter 13)
Held as a bondservant slave
Whose deposit is the ransom of gold refined by fire to be paid
Clothed in white robes with a tent spread over them
Their shameful nakedness repressed and kept hidden (Rev 7:13-17)
Denied entry into the city gates of Jerusalem (lyrics inspired by Mt 11:7-15, Lk 7:24-28)
John is in the desert, the reed shaken by the wind
Who forcefully advances the old kingdom of heaven
Those least in the kingdom of heaven
Being greater than John
The false prophet who calls from the inner rooms (Mt 24:23-27, Mt 11:7-15, Lk 7:24-28)
Who is identified as the son of man (Mt 17:11-13)
