We are glad to have won Iorie over for our 6th release, a young and talented man from Hannover. “And The Gang EP“ is his contribution to this event. But don't let yourself be deceived by this title: his music is certainly not drifting into rap-related genres. Instead, the young man presents us three varied originals which wonderfully fit a modern deep house context. And to top the total package off we have the mighty Siopis on remix duty!

“And The Gang“ is not just the title of the EP, but also track A1 – and even if it starts quite calm and straight, you soon realise that this track is ideal for the dancefloor with its perfect groove. Up next is “A Little Affair“, a track with which Iorie underlines the multifacetedness of his productions. It is borne by a dreamy and slightly dark atmo and builds a special kind of tension which is released in the break with a wonderful vocal to begin. The flip side revolves around “My Mate M“: Although Iorie doesn't want to reveal to us who this is alluding to, we are sure that it must be a really good friend considering what a great song he dedicated to him. But don't worry: if you're thinking of a cheesy love song, you're barking up the wrong tree. This track very much relates to what Iorie has presented us on the A-side and the facets that he displayed there are fused into one epic masterpiece. All in all a tough basis for Siopis to remix you might think, but the berlin-based Greek proves to be one of the best producers of the German capital and does a heck of a job putting his “From The Ashes“ mark on the theme.

The first successful year of our ambitious club-label draws to a close now and we proudly look back on five superb releases from our residents Patryk Molinari, Kuriose Naturale, Madmotormiquel, Schlepp Geist, Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno. As though by chance a selection of them feature as a main part on our next project as well - The "Five Years Lost" compilation which has stemmed from the celebration of the clubs five year anniversary which will take place from 2nd till 5th of October 2014.
This compilation contains 12 multifarious tracks by well-known and fresh producers out of the Ritter Butzke sphere. From Deep and Tech-House, across Minimal to Techno, right up to Disco and Progressive - everything is featured here. We want to showcase a wide range of quality electronic music in the release that well represents the sound of the club, past, present and of course future.
Unfortunately it would break the mould if we go into every single track stylistically - that's why we just want to briefly introduce the artists one by one: firstly “CrossfronTier" Marc Poppcke, "friend of the family" Bela Brandes, "Dikso-Boy" Daniel Solar, "kind soul" Don Brazo, "the dynamic duo" Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno, "the bold wolves" Kuriose Naturale, "Mr. Vibe" Patryk Molinari, "Freundentaumler" Chris Hanke, "Plötzlich princesses" Beddermann & Dahlmann, "master clean" Putzlicht, "team exit" Wasted Ruffians and "head chef" Andre Schaaf. In short, a real plethora of names and music that you don't need to enhance by words but rather let the musical contributions speak for themselves.

His latest musical contribution, the Never Know EP features 3 multilayered originals, as well as a remix from a returning duo, Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno.
The title track, ''We'll Never Know'' opens the A-side, and this one immediately raises the bar to a high level. From the first minute it's obvious that this is going to be a fascinating journey, and one that's interspersed with groovy beats, undeniably catchy chords and a series of nimble field recordings. When the prominent vocal touch is added, it's the ice on the top of a very delicious cake. The second track, "Douchebags" is another fitting accompaniment to matters elsewhere, with its dreamy, celestial pads responsible for the special tension did courses throughout.
The B-side then kicks off with ''Sad Reindeers'', a delectable gem that strikes all the right notes and is beautiful in its simplicity thanks to its many melancholic vibes. Ritter Butzke Studio returns this February with the ‘Some Might Work’ EP, courtesy of resident of the infamous Berlin nightclub, which gives the imprint its name, Kuriose Naturale.
Following the successful launch of the Ritter Butzke Studio imprint in 2013, the label steps into the 2014 with more underground sounds. Kicking things off with material from one of the clubs long-time residents Kuriose Naturale, who drop their very first release here in the shape of ‘Some Might Work’.
The A1 cut bears the title "Madame Psychosis", and as the name would suggest the record embodies a dark aesthetic, which generates a hypnotic, spell binding feel throughout the composition as it subtly unfolds over seven minutes.
Following as the A2 we have "Up From Here", tipping the focus towards a more groove-led piece. The track’s driven by short vocal snippets, lingering low-end bass, a resonant synth hook and a classic stab sequence driving the movement throughout.
Entering the B-Side we have the original mix of title track ‘Some Might Work’, opening with soft melodies, sweeping ethereal pads and a hooky saw-wave bass line, before the focal stages sees the cut come into fruition as the duo introduce vocal lines and layer up some additional melodic touches.
Then to close the release Swiss artist Kellerkind (Noir Music) turns in an old school house interpretation of ‘Some Might Work’, blending vocal chops, cosseting house chords and a raw, bumpy bass hook to great effect.]]>

We have done it, the well known Berlin club Ritter Butzke is starting its own record label!
First up is longtime resident Mario Aureo and his swiss brother in arms Manuel Moreno, who has found a home as resident of Zurich's legendary Hive Club.
The title track “Autumn Bell” is a sub and lead bass driven Houser, whose emotive pads and hypnotic vocals will stay in your head long after you have left the club.
The dub version of “Autumn Bell” is an altogether more reduced and focussed affair, that relies on the groove but without losing the energy of the original.
The flip side, “Arosis” is a deeper track with string variations and filter progressions but nevertheless a more restrained feel, which makes this track playable at any time, day or night.
Bachstelzen old hand and URSL co-founder Sebo is on remix duty, he’s picking up the theme in a more minimal manner and crafts a sound world of his own, through additional vocals and varied arrangement.
