Tonight's show begins with a personal favorite that I rarely get to play. In 1993, in the wake of Mark Gage's international techno hit "Gravitational Arch of 10" as Vapourspace, Fred Giannelli (AKA Plus 8 Records producer The Kooky Scientist) released a collaboration on his label Telepathic Recordings between Gage and fellow Rochesterian, industrial/body music producer Coleman Horn (C/Sphere of the Artillerymen On A Toot.) The 12-inch was released as Microset Morning.

The unique synth sound on this track comes from the Multivox Firstman SQ-01, a monophonic sequenced baseline synth similar to the TB-303 but with its own unique sound due to differences in the filter.

Coleman Horn had to eventually sell the Firstman at a time when he was strapped for cash. I was offered the opportunity to purchase the Firstman at a party, but did not have the funds to do so. True story.
