He hosted the first weekly techno radio show in his hometown for several years. David played in almost every techno club and festival around south Germany including Cocoon Club (Frank​furt), Tresor (Berlin), Sisyphos (Berlin), Lehmann Club (Stutt​gart); alongside big names like Sven Väth, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Andrew Weatherall and many others.
As an active part of the cultivation of techno in south Germany, he also played in countries like USA, Canada, Argentina, England and Spain. His discography includes some mix-cd's and two releases.

Currently focusing on darker and faster but still solid techno, he was selected and honored to play in established venues such as Tresor Berlin, Sugarfactory Amsterdam, The Great Wall of China (YinYang Music Festival) and the Shanghai Midi Festival, to just name a few.
Also able to perform his tracks and remixes LIVE (Tresor Berlin, Skala Bielefeld), he is emerging into his own as a professional DJ and producer.

Starting from March 2015, Below Surface will lead his own Techno label „Be Sure“, which is mainly founded to publish Below Surface and Absorbed releases. Absorbed is the LIVEact project of Below Surface and Florian Bo and together they recently had their debut release on the Berlin based Advanced, which was supported by big name DJs like Marcel Dettmann, Oscar Mulero and especially Marco Bailey, who charted one of the EP´s track.
