A Charity Album to raise funds for Crohn's and Colitis Australia.

This is a sound sampler to give you an idea of the work done on these songs from vinyl only.
All the funds collected goto charity as I am raising money for my son who suffers from this illness and also the aforementioned charity.

The last few months I've spent most of my spare time collating 10 Soulful House songs, that only existed on vinyl and I wanted to restore, sonically repair, and breathe new life into this absolute gems from decades of collecting music.

I've done my very best to get all 10 songs as sonically perfect as possible. It's quite a long and gentle process using several state of the art restoration and mastering tools to get everything I can out of these.

Through Discogs.com and a few other sources I have checked to see if any of these songs are or were available as a digital release and at this stage only one cropped up, very late in the piece on a CD single but it was just a radio edit so I have still included it in the pack.

Now for the charity and why I picked this specific cause.

Three years ago, I was on holidays with my son and daughter, up in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Which is a spectacular location but during the trip my son wasn't sleeping well and displaying some very strange behaviour which was most alarming at the time.

We managed to finish the trip without any significant incidents but my concern was high as I could not understand or explain his behaviour at that time. My daughter was also concerned.

Two days after arriving back in Melbourne my son was rushed to hospital with bleeding from the bowel and in extreme pain. After several very tense days he seemed to begin recovery but a few days later he was given a colonoscopy and we discovered he had Crohn's Disease.

The simplest explanation of this is that his body doesn't absorb foods nutrients very well and his intestinal track and bowel become heavily inflamed, making it difficult for him to goto the bathroom.

He had lost quite a bit of weight and we had not realised that it was affecting his development and growth overall.

Fortunately, after the ups and downs of changes in diet and trying various medications, a point of stability was reached and in the last 18 months he has been able to lead a normal life, playing soccer which he adores and being involved in lots of after school activities, as well as learning to play the drums.

So it's all been very positive and the medical staff at various hospitals, on the public health system, have been wonderful in supporting Sebastian.
