MoonShadow - Labelle - 1972 - Blanco Extended Re-edit and Remaster

A long long time ago an amazing compiler called Ian Dewhurst started releasing the Mastercuts series. This monster funk Jam comes from Mastercuts Rare Groove Volume 1 - CD. In the 90's mastering was quite different and quite beautiful. What I love about this version of the Cat Stevens Classic is it really shows musicianship at it's very best. It starts off as a well organised, tight funk song, but about half way through, it's true blackness comes out. It grooves at a level that every whiteman should listen and bow down too. Of course there are plenty of incredible caucasian musicians who feel and play the groove but this is an extraordinary example of feeling that groove. I always wanted to extend it and also push the fidelity of it, repairing some of the stereo elements. Enjoy
