RNT is turning 10 releases old with this special and varied EP from Michael the Lion aka @djaptone. Known recently for his work on Soul Clap records, Michael flexes his edit skills on this one, flipping some funk on the A-side with “Any Time,” and serving up classic italo cheek with “The Don.” The B-side erupts with the disco-house-bringer-downer “Get More” and finishes smooth with a fresh take on a well-worn sample with “909s and Herb,” a co-production with Sammy Bananas, of Fool’s Gold Record fame. This milestone record is a choice celebration of the quality that the RNT label has come to personify.
