Il a r\u00e9cemment pr\u00eat\u00e9 ses talents d\u2019artiste et\/ou d\u2019enseignant \u00e0 des organisations telles que Prisons and Neighborhood Arts Project, Art Reach, le Center for Urban Pedagogy, et \u00e0 l\u2019UIC. Les voix, les lieux, les histoires, les \u00e9changes humains permettent de relier son travail aux exp\u00e9riences des autres, ce qui le rend plus fort. Avec l\u2019esth\u00e9tique d\u2019un graveur, il fait appel au m\u00e9dium qui convient le mieux \u00e0 la situation, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de s\u00e9rigraphie\/relief\/impression num\u00e9rique, de photographie, d\u2019encre, de crayon, de voix, de bo\u00eete \u00e0 rythmes, d\u2019\u00e9chantillonneur ou de platines. Quel que soit le support, l\u2019objectif est d\u2019atteindre et de connecter.\r\n\r\nA few days after a unique encounter with bassist Fanny Lasfargues, Chicago musician Damon Locks is back, this time solo, to open the closing night of the 40th edition of M\u00e9t\u00e9o Festival ! Damon Locks is a Chicago-based visual artist, educator, singer\/musician and DJ. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He has recently lent his talents as an artist and\/or teacher to organizations such as Prisons and Neighborhood Arts Project, Art Reach, the Center for Urban Pedagogy, and UIC. Voices, places, stories and human exchanges help connect his work to the experiences of others, making it stronger. With a printmaker\u2019s aesthetic, he calls on the medium that best suits the situation, be it silkscreen\/relief\/digital print, photography, ink, pencil, voice, drum machine, sampler or turntable.
