Peter Khovano Manhique , known to many as the infamous DJ khovano was born & raised in kaalfontein in Midrand (Johannesburg, South Africa ).

khovano started collecting music at an early age, he used to spend most of his time listening to music, collecting music from different genres such as (Lounge, jazz , trip hop, Nujazz, Neo soul, Downtempo) just to name a few.

On his musical journey he was honored and inspired by one of his old time friend Tsepang Maotshe aka Mellowdeep who played a huge role on his musical journey and his growth in this industry. He is more inspired by the Movements such as Tools & Pieces, House Rehab sessions, The Deep & The people and Avant Garde vintage Lounge just to list a few.

Music is food to his soul.
