Survey: Away / Delirium PA008

Protect Audio's latest release from the deep, dark depths of the techstep sound-scape comes in the form of Survey's Away / Delirium single. Upholding the labels commitment to pitch black D&B which has sculpted releases since their launch last year, Survey bring their signature tense, hypnotic sound to the labels repertoire.

Away begins with a dark alien hum, setting the tone for the rest of the release. These unnerving atmospherics are soon dwarfed by a pounding bass drum with an unusual yet hypnotic rhythm synonymous with only the darkest of D&B. These sounds soon regain their place in the foreground, adding an element of tension to the soundscape, accentuating the dark vibes that the bass is already blaring out.

The pounding bass drum returns with a vengeance in Delirium, which starts with the hefty hypnotic kick, easing in a full spectrum of bass flares as the song progresses. The seamless integration and progression of percussion in the track showcases the Berlin duo's production prowess.
The deep dark sounds of Protect's latest offering will either have you hiding under your bed or letting loose on the dancefloor, a label and an artist to keep both eyes on.
