Proper Thirteen is the musical collaboration of a breakbeat pioneer and a classically trained composer. The 13th Hour is their debut EP.

Before his hiatus in 2013, DJ Louder was a staple to Phoenix Arizona's underground and traveled to major southwest US cities for over 15 years. He is widely known for his high energy sets of dubstep/breaks and remixes that are acclaimed worldwide.

Arietta holds 14 years of classical/jazz training as a multi-instrumentalist and as a composer. She has performed, competitively and freely, across the US in various projects ranging from an acid jazz band, an electroacoustic duo, and various symphony orchestras, bands, and choirs.

The fusion rooting in both DJ Louder and Arietta's love for electronic music allows for the duo to offer an eclectic take on bass music. Though Proper Thirteen's production style emerges with a fresh sound - undertones of the many influences that make up their nostalgic musical history are present.
