RocknRolla Soundsystem are a band that produce sought after edits across the globe. The Dutch collective, consisting on mainstays Joris Vos, Martijn Bosch and Raymond van Felius produces reworks of all things groovy since 2012, and has become a household name in the global edit scene. Besides the usual suspect genres as funk, soul and disco a clear distinctive thing is that RocknRolla Soundsystem does not back out of taking on editing singer songwriter tunes, rock, reggae, jazz or blues either. Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, Sixto Rodriquez, BB King and Oasis, are just a few of their more unusual remix choices.

Their released work on Island / Universal Music Group, Katakana Edits, Springbok Records and Alpaca Edits is critically acclaimed and praised by the likes of Craig Charles (BBC Radio), Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio & Worldwide FM) & Jeremy Sole (KCRW USA).

Originating from the house and techno scene in the city of Groningen (The Netherlands) RocknRolla Soundsystem was founded on the very basic idea of wanting to play groove infused versions of great and sometimes lesser known original songs. Each of the members owns an extensive music collection filled with material from the early sixties until present day to which RocknRolla Soundsystem turns when selecting material for new edit projects.

All reworks released are marked with the annotation: “This edit is done with respect to the original by RocknRola Soundsystem”. This addition isn’t added by chance as RocknRolla productions never sound overhyped or overproduced in any way of form. Their authentic approach of adding subtle groove, baseline and additional instrumentation has resulted in a solid catalogue of over 40 songs. Their most notable work easily surpasses 100.000’s of plays on Soundcloud, Youtube and other platforms.
