If confusion is sex, George Borodin is porn.Lodge EP is perhaps best described as the musical equivalent of injecting a stimulant directly into your heart then stepping into an F1 car to burn around a track for a few palpitation-inducing laps. Subtle is not a word that immediately springs to mind, but in a electronic world where the buzz words of music have long been "understated," "stripped-down," "refined" and (perhaps the dirtiest word of all) "minimal," it's nice to hear some producers approach their Macs and banks of hardware with guns blazing and mouths foaming.
