<itunes:summary>Ivan Petrenka is an experienced DJ originally from Taganrog, Russia. His journey began in 1996 at a school disco, where he was invited to play thanks to his carefully curated cassette collection. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a long-term path.
In the early years, he became a resident DJ at his university club and the well-known disco bar "Nadya" in Taganrog. His sound was shaped by the golden era of electronic music, inspired by radio shows like John Digweed’s Transitions and Pete Tong’s Essential Mix. From the beginning, he focused on atmosphere rather than trends, blending old-school records with deeper, more modern sounds.
In 2001, discovering DJ Mag and seeing John Digweed ranked number one became a turning point. It pushed Ivan to go further and understand the culture from the inside. This led him to England, where he explored the London scene firsthand. He visited iconic venues such as Fabric and The End, and attended Global Gathering, absorbing the sound and energy of the underground.
In 2006, Ivan became a finalist in the Red Devil DJ Contest, placing in the top 7 out of more than 400 participants. This gave him the opportunity to attend masterclasses with respected Russian DJs such as DJ Groove and DJ Fonarev, sharpening both his technical skills and musical vision.
He later played across southern Russia and Moscow, holding residencies at venues like Depeche Mode Bar and performing in various clubs and underground events. His path then took him to the United States, where he lived in Detroit. There, he became a resident at La Casa De La Habana Cigars and Lounge and played at Mars Bar, while also connecting with the roots of techno culture, including a visit to Transmat Records and meeting Derrick May.
After years across different scenes and countries, Ivan settled in Southeast Asia, where he continues to evolve his sound and vision. In Vietnam, he runs independent underground projects such as Stalker Underground and DJ Jam, focusing on deep, progressive, and atmospheric electronic music. His events are built around a simple idea: no ego, no hype, just music and connection.
He is also the creator and host of the Stalker Underground Podcast, a continuation of a journey that started back in 2006 with earlier podcast formats. Through it, he shares carefully selected music, combining timeless tracks with modern releases, always focused on storytelling and mood.

Ivan Petrenka is an experienced DJ originally from Taganrog, Russia.
Ivan Petrenka represents a rare type of DJ who stayed true to the culture through decades of change. His approach is not about trends or quick success, but about consistency, taste, and respect for the roots of electronic music.

Ivan Petrenka is an experienced DJ originally from Taganrog, Russia.
Ivan Petrenka represents a rare type of DJ who stayed true to the culture through decades of change. His approach is not about trends or quick success, but about consistency, taste, and respect for the roots of electronic music.

Ivan Petrenka represents a rare type of DJ who stayed true to the culture through decades of change. His approach is not about trends or quick success, but about consistency, taste, and respect for the roots of electronic music.</googleplay:description>

Ivan Petrenka is an experienced DJ originally from Taganrog, Russia.
Ivan Petrenka represents a rare type of DJ who stayed true to the culture through decades of change. His approach is not about trends or quick success, but about consistency, taste, and respect for the roots of electronic music.

Ivan Petrenka is an experienced DJ originally from Taganrog, Russia.
Ivan Petrenka represents a rare type of DJ who stayed true to the culture through decades of change. His approach is not about trends or quick success, but about consistency, taste, and respect for the roots of electronic music.
