Bedroom Disco 5 - Osmose vinyl mix...deep down in the sheets

Mixed Live & Direct to disc in one take via 2 x 1210mk5 turntables + DJR400 mixer (#1026) + Vermona Action Filter 4.

It’s been about 4 years since my last Bedroom Disco mix. In recording this I noticed I had recorded two drafts in 2015 that were never approved to groove...funny enough a couple of these tracks are in those mix drafts too. There hasn’t been a lot of quality downtempo jams produced on vinyl in the past couple of years, so that’s part of the slow down in the mix series. I love the slower jams personally and try to put at least one on a 12 inch vinyl release to keep stuff out there. I sometimes feel like I’m putting those downtempo cuts on the record solely for me. It probably hurts sales to some degree honestly. Anyway, I was happy to see the “Playground” release drop from UC Beatz which two cuts are included in this mix (I dig the whole EP though) and JKriv put a few downtempo Brazilian gems on RNT036...LPs are another area where folks can take liberty to do some downtempo joints, but usually they’re pretty short or really experimental or maybe not very mix friendly. Not the case with these JKriv cuts!
