Episode 27: Tunnel (USA) - Live at Intellephunked on January 11, 2019

Tunnel is best described as a sound sculptor. With an emphasis on broken rhythms and unconventional sound design, Tunnel’s live performances are a kinetic blend of quality techno and experimental sounds. His compositional forms and structure combine elements of ambient, idm, drone, sub bass, and techno into a sonic tapestry, resting somewhere between fervor and séance, chaos and artistry. Based in Chicago, inspired by the echoes of Detroit, Tunnel launched their record label [ webuildmachines ] in 2013. His steady output of releases over the last several years have garnered high praise and charted recognition from big players within the electronic music community – Paula Temple, Perc, Dave Clarke, Ci0 D’Or, Surgeon, Electric Indigo, Inigo Kennedy, Richie Hawtin, and Tommy Four Seven, to name but a few. Tunnel will continue to search for new sounds and structures, getting deeper into the journey.
For this first episode of 2019, we are happy to welcome a young talent from the German techno scene. Kaan Pirecioglu, based out in Münster, might not be the most famous name in the industry but his talent is definitely worth to be exposed. His productions are just like his DJ sets: fast hitting techno with a smooth touch of hypnotic and space on top of it; a style reminiscent of a certain DVS1.

Enjoy!

Episode 25: Antonio De Angelis (UK)

Welcome back to our podcast for this very special NYE episode featuring an incredibly talented artist: Antonio De Angelis. Based out in London, UK, Antonio is always looking for new targets and more challenges, experimenting uncommon paths and inventing innovative languages.
Eclectic, creative, curious and involving, he has a unique style which transmits passion and adrenaline, dreams and emotions.
His sets are marked by the art of sound manipulation and style pollution, challenging standards and prejudices, playing wisely with technology and everything that enables him to change and produce music reworks.
Antonio doesn’t aim to classify his sound within precise boundaries, but it’s quite easy to perceive strong house roots with contemporary techno and deep inflections.
Having released on labels like Dynamic Reflection, Children of Tomorrow, Gynoid Audio or Sonntag Morgen, he was able to express his art in many prestigious locations such as Fabric London, Khidi Tbilisi or Batofar Paris.
Enjoy!

Very happy to be back with a new off-series episode, out of the codes of techno, exposing a different opening in the framework of electronic music. For this occasion, we called Corentin Mab, one of the most promising house artists of the French scene, resident of the club Warehouse in Nantes. Always trying to mix up styles and genres, from house to jazz to hip-hop or soul, he captivates you in warm sounds and sonorities. His versatility when mixing got him to play alongside Kerri Chandler, Tom Trago, Folamour, Mézigue or Lil Louis or in cities like Montreal or Paris.

Episode 21: Jonas Landwehr (GER)

We are back with another episode showcasing one of the rising names of the techno scene, this time with 'Raw Imprint‘ record label co-founder Jonas Landwehr. Not only by trusting on his deep sense for consequent aesthetics and his technical perfection behind the decks Jonas Landwehr has proven to be one to watch out for. Organizer behind dozens of high class electronic music events, he is part of a community of young artists ready to change the face of melancholic and hypnotic techno. In his emotionally charged DJ-Set’s he shows his lexical knowledge about the releases of the past 25 years, while always finding a balance between contemporary electronic music and unexpected classics that are woven sovereignly into the bigger picture which is not less diverse then surprisingly fluent. This degree of diversity is not only found in his DJ-Set’s but also in his productions. When he teamed up with Felix Fleer to produce the A-Side of the first Raw Imprint record it didn’t take long for the epic, yet melancholic bigroom anthems to get picked up by dozens of major acts to be played at the most infamous night clubs and festivals around the globe.

For this episode, we are happy to welcome an artist we have been following for a while now, Border One. He always had a firm passion for music, electronical or jazz influenced, as the mind is always pulled towards creative and otherworldly music. Over the years he has steadily developed into a fine selector with an incredible steady and polished mixing style behind the turntables. Immune to trends and hypes he embraces the true skills of an old school DJ.

But even more Border One crafts a unique journey throughout his productions: exploring the borders of his self-consciousness spectrum through sound, perception and melancholy. Having released on Wolfskuil Records, Stockholm Ltd, Ressort Imprint or Invite's Choice Records. This resulted in gigs at famous clubs and events like Fuse, Arena Club, Griessmuehle, Kompass Klub and Kozzmozz, among others.
