As winter makes way for the first pale light of spring, many return to the streets. Hibernation is over, time to resurface from our warm and cosy homes. For Dr. Seltsam, though, the past winter was not a time of sleeping. It was, as always, a time of plotting and planning, of searching and scheming. He travelled from the centre of our planet to the outskirts of space. From darkness to darkness. In search of light. During one of his trips he came across an old friend and loyal subject. As they spoke of light and darkness, the doctor realized he has been looking in all the wrong places. Staring down at earth from up above, he had felt small and insignificant. And crawling through the deep crevices in the earth’s core, he had felt lonely and homesick. But now, as he looked into the bright blue eyes of Ole Olsen, he had found what he was looking for. A perfect mix of light and dark, of love for our world and everything in it, and of the hate and frustration that needs to be danced away in dark basements.
