Doc Martin was one of the most important DJ’s out of San Francisco in the late 80’s and basically paved the way for the house scene to grow there. He was a doorman for the DNA lounge and ended up visiting New York to attend “The Paradise Garage” before it was gone. When he returned to the Bay, he knew that he wanted house music there and started a weekly that ran for a short period of time. Shortly after that he moved to Los Angeles where the underground house and rave scene was growing and spreading throughout the city. He went on to become one of America’s most globally recognized DJ’s & started to spread his gospel of house throughout the world holding many residencies at some of the biggest clubs. This tape is of decent quality for a 3rd generation copy and he plays some great classic tracks that I have enjoyed for many years. I’m sure there is a better quality recording out there but until it comes out here is what I have to share. "Live at The Groove Kitchen SF February of 1993"
