On Saturday, while mixing it, I didn't really feel the right vibe. I actually hated this set, so I thought I wouldn't.
Gave it a second chance, listened to the recording a couple of days later, and I think it's not that bad after all.
This somehow completes an ideal "quadrilogy" with my other sets "Fade" "Burn" and "Zone", perhaps with a slightly more chilled out attitude, but still.
BTW, those were the last titles. From now on it's going to be "Set #00" and a slightly revamped / refreshed graphic format. I hope you guys like it :P those titles were silly anyway (and this is set #62, because there are already 61 uploads on my Mixcloud :P).

Just for a little variety, I threw in a few covers from other bands, and a couple of songs from New Order's first album. Seemed appropriate.
Finally, yes this could have been part of my "Batcave" sets, but out of pure respect for this band I decided it to be a stand alone set instead.

Finally, this is supposed to be purely electro and it is not.
But.
The mood counts more than technicalities. And I believe this set was just perfectly fitting the event.

(I admit some tracks I was actually listening to for the first time while mixing them lol)
So yeah, I guess if you listen to this you will notice things are not as smooth as they could (should) be.
In fact, I didn't want to upload this. But since nobody ran from Club Zero while I was playing this, I thought perhaps this is somehow worth listening, besides being far from flawless.

Some are seminal to goth, others are derivate. But I guess the mood is safe and remains consistent.
Loved playing this set, and was too distracted - or should I say teased - to actually mix it.
So here it is, the flow is there to enjoy, and I think most non-mainstream tunes are good to hear now and then :)

I love the roughness. It's so unrefined, and yet it has that energy.
This is a set probably for those selected few, not exactly easy listening.

This set is based on a selection of coldwave tracks, though it opens with the latest Rammstein single "Deutschland".
Same track, this time remixed by Richard Z. Kruspe, pops up around the top of the hour.
I loved the flow, and the contrast between Rammstein's heavy guitar opening and the rest of the set basically guitar-less.
And still, you can see a consistency, and the beauty of it.
