Play On Words expresses the artist’s admiration for organic sounds and an analogue approach to music. His style is inspired in the rawest, primitive Detroit techno, to which he progressively incorporates every new nuance in order to polish the character inherent to our current scene. The relevance and control of the percussive tracks and the importance that it takes with the rest of textures is also significant for the lower frequencies. This is a vital and very characteristic element in his productions, which increases the sensation of sturdiness.

Highlights 01 is the first of a series of releases on NXT recordings that include various tracks from different artists. It’s an EP that offers several points of view of techno. It consists of two new tracks accompanied by a short selection of works previously published on the label.

Belgian artist Ugur Yurt opens up the sixth release for the Spanish label with two exclusive brand new productions “Walk Along” is an impressively atmospheric techno track in which the hi-hats rule the environment followed by “Pink Stars”, an acid techno cut commanded by a thundering baseline.

Along with these two massive tracks, Highlights 01 includes two remixes of “Club System”, a dance floor bomber handcrafted by the also Belgian music producer Van Czar, a versatile artist member of the legendary Bonzai Records label who is able to adapt his underground character to styles like techno, tech-house or deep-house. The two remixes, in which the love for hybrid of hardware and digital resources for production shines through, are tailor made by Brendon Moeller and Echologist respectively.

The “Boric Acid” remix of Spanish producer YosoYYo’s track “Palmitate” closes Highlights 01 in style. YosoYYo is a frisky mind devoted to avant-garde electronic music in all variants from the deeper and underground house through the purest and highest voltage techno. This industrial-like version of “Palmitate” is by Joy B, a remix that creates an atmosphere that gets the dance floors come to a musical orgasm.

NXT recordings saw its birth in 2013 motivated by some of the artists promoted by Spanish talent agency NXT management, which offers a wide range of DJs and live acts from house to techno. As well as the ageny roster, the label copes with either house and techno tunes as well as anything in between. This is the sixth release of the label and there are already some more releases in the pipeline that will see the light very soon. Stay tuned!

As a producer, Kimura is known for his successful vinyl releases on Chris Liebing’s record label CLR, Ben Sims’ Theory recordings, and Pascal F.E.O.S.’s PV records to name but a few.

With this upcoming release Kazu Kimura cuts the ribbon of a new project, the brand new Spanish record label NXT recordings. The acclaimed Japanese DJ and producer launches "Space Colony Fantasy", an EP where we find two tracks with a solid and powerful sound in the boundaries between techno and tech-house.

Just like in most of his recent releases, in this case Kazu Kimura also departs from his earlier hardcore-tinged sound for the sake of bumpy vigorous tech-house where the artist’s trademark agility manifests itself in full swing. The fervid tribal percussion in Space Colony Fantasy and the captivating rolling bass in Synchronicity reveal a highest level of dancefloor-friendliness.

NXT recordings sees its birth motivated by the effort and commitment of the artists promoted by Spanish booking agency NXT management, who offers a wide range of djs and live acts from house to techno. As well as the agency roster, the label will cope with either house and techno tunes as well as anything in between, using a color code for the designs so that the style of a track is intuitively predicted by just browsing the artwork, being darker for the techier stuff and lighter for the housy sounds.
