TRM-EP-007 CRPTC - Marching To The Frontline

Traumatic successfully continue their quest of cherry picking new artists from the dark- and doomcore scene. CRPTC debuts with a four track EP that resounds with influences from his suburban Rotterdam background: “Marching to the Frontline” is dominated by growling industrial distortion and stiff martial beats below the 140bm mark, and yet – despite the permeating war theme – it has a surprising dance floor groove (in a most mechanical way that is). After the unsettling build-up of “Take no prisoners” you will surely surrender to the simple and effective sonar hook of “Submarine Warfare”, the psychotic melody of “Blackout” is numbingly mad and “Shellshocked” qualifies as potential hit track with its melodic backdrop, effective breaks and the on-spot samples. Time to get up and get armed!
