Profile description of Nicorus:

NICORUS is a Berlin based DJ and Producer, originally from Toulouse in the south-west of France. Nicorus and music have a long and diverse relationship. Genres such as Rock, Punk, Metal, Reggae, Hip Hop and Non-Western Musics have all been 'stations' on Nicorus's musical journey, beginning as early as seven years old.

He discovered electronic music through Asian Dub Foundation, High Tone and the Dub / Drum & Bass movement in France in the late 1990's. Feeling the urge to dig deeper into the phenomenon of electronic music, Nicorus decided to uproot and leave France for Berlin.

Landing directly into the 'Alternative' scene, a love for Berlin underground Techno music soon enveloped him. He was soon an integral performer at the legendary underground Berlin parties, pioneering and pushing the new underground wave, as well as at some of the city's
biggest clubs, such as SISYPHOS, where he is a RESIDENT DJ.

In 2013 he achieved a degree in Sound Design and in the same year released his first remix of
Cologne combo Atlantik on the Keller label, as well as a track and remix released on Code2 Records. Two EP's followed in the summer of 2014 on the Keller and Fanciful labels, with remixes of Mononoïd, Groj, Agja and Asem Shama. Nicorus has been influenced by Rone, Max Cooper, Extrawelt, Minilogue, Microtraum and Dusty Kid, just to name but a few, given the long list of artists he is open to!

Nicorus's soundscape of music is expansive, from Ambient to Psytrance through to House, Deep House and Tech House. His favorite 'home' however is Techno and Astro Techno (A progressive form often called 'Neotrance'). He also loves to add a non-Western or 'Worldscape' element to his music.

First he will make you sweat with 'elephantine' Techno booms that fill the room, and then cool you down with some dreamy, psychedelic vibes.

So, close your eyes and enjoy the sound:)
