Colleen Power is a bilingual singer/songwriter and creative force in the Newfoundland music scene. She comfortably embraces multiple styles in both French and English with lyrics ranging from heartfelt to comedic, political to personal. She has been a Newfoundland Francophone ambassador at festivals and events around Canada since the release of her debut French recording ‘Terre-Neuvienne’ in 2006. She released a second French album, le Bonheur Domestique in 2013 and is now working on an EP of French songs based on French history in Newfoundland.

Newfoundland Bilingual Singer/Songwriter Colleen Power talks about life as a Francophone in St. John's Newfoundland, where the Francophone population represents a small minority. Featured in the program are Independent Journalist Jacinthe Tremblay, Madame Mirelle Thomas, professor, translator and past President of the Federation of Francophones in Newfoundland and Labrador, Musician Jeik Loksa and Singer/Inventor Stephanie Bowring.
