I have to say that 'Torquay' is one of Namatjira's most emotional productions to date. It has this wonderful warm ambiance about it that's just really inviting. The melodic elements are incredibly classy sounding and the records vibrant framework is positively glowing. The cascades of shimmering keys run through the piece with a brilliant harmonic sheen and the playful melodic accents seem to complement everything flawlessly. This is about as perfect as a melodic progressive house track can be. If you love music from the heart that's also great for the dance floor then this is a production that you should go out and buy immediately.

The lone remix is provided by Chicola who is also making his first appearance on Classound. Chico Shuella aka Chicola is another one of the excellent producers that has emerged from Israel's talent rich electronic music underground. His recent outings on Sudbeat and Proton have been some of this year's best releases and he's turned in a fabulous interpretation of 'Torquay'. In going with a much more tech house rework Chicola has brought the track to a broader range of dance floors for sure. The shuffling groove and buzzing hooks are undeniably cool and the tone bending middle section complete with a massive build is the ultimate icing on the cake. The Dutch producer has been rising steadily and his contemporary blend of deep grooves and rich musicality is sounding better with each successive outing. This week sees his much anticipated 'Sequoia' single for '3rd Avenue' getting its release with remixes from: Levente and Li-Polymer.

Namatjira's deep and sultry grooves are always a pleasure and 'Sequoia' certainly stands out from the wealth of poorly produced deep progressive out there. The momentous groove is delicately hypnotic and the moderately trippy surroundings accent the framework quite nicely. As the piece begins to breakdown the windswept backdrop becomes more apparent. The wispy calm relaxes the senses before a smooth build and sonic sweep soon reveals some drifting electronics which brings the track to a very classy and exhilarating climax.
