~ Its Summertime ~ The DJ Jazzy Jeff N Mick Boogie Mixtapes~

For the past 9 Summers, I look forward to the release of the annual Summertime mixtapes by DJ Jazzy Jeff and MICK (aka Mick Boogie). I bang these joints religiously, and they are a huge part of my hip/hop and soul Summer...they get major repeat time for the fella.

Since 2010, the two kings of party-rocking have linked up to release the annual 4th of July mixtape inspired by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s hit single "Summertime" . It really has become the soundtrack to the streetz by Jazzy Jeff and Mick as they cut, blend and blaze some old skool Hip/Hop, R&B, soul dusty grooves and break beats for our listening pleasure.

So, what I've done is put together the first Black Diamond Edition of the mixtapes which is a compilation of Volumes 5-9 for your listening pleasure. Soooo to paraphrase my man Fresh Prince: "Think of the summers of the past/ Adjust the bass and let the alpine blast/Pop in my mixtape and let it run the rhymes/put your car on cruise, BBQ, pop bottles and lay back...cause it's summertime!" HELLOOOOOO SUMMMER!!!
