Les Champs-Élysées (Joe Dassin) - A romantic saxophone and vocal cover song

"Les Champs-Élysées" is a 1969 song by Joe Dassin. The song was originally written in English under the title "Waterloo Road" (lyrics by Michael Anthony Deighan, music by Michael Wilshaw) and released by the British rock band Jason Crest. Then French lyricist Pierre Delanoë adapted the lyrics into French. It entered charts in multiple European countries.

I sang the lead vocals and played the soprano saxophone in this cover version. I sing and play this live on stage for many years now, as the song is part of the playlist of my Da Caop Showband. It's still a catchy tune after all these years.

In diesem Song habe ich die Leadstimme gesungen und das Sopran-Saxophon eingespielt. Auf der Bühne singe und spiele ich dies live ebenso. Der Song ist im Repertoire meiner Da Capo Showband seit vielen Jahren vorhanden und wird auch nach all den Jahren immer wieder gerne gehört.
