Since the age of 14 Mat has been mixing, scratching and making beats, spanning many genres and styles but always having one thing in common - heavy percussion and bass lines which appeals to a wide variety of crowds.

His label is up and running (Really Good Recordings) and will feature his own music alongside some of Canada’s finest electronic producers.

In 2012 mat joined his friends Zeds Dead on a Bus tour across Canada and some US dates including shows with Araab Muzik and was received with an amazing response. Mat is also a official monster Energy DJ and can be found DJing at some of their top sporting events events alongside and often Jamming with djs like z Trip and Nu Mark and also getting to pull out the occasional 45 set.

Currently mat is enjoying playing multi-genre sets with Bass heavy beats and of course lots of cuts and contrasting sounds along the way.

As always been trying to represent many genres and styles within each genre lots of friends beats
and Guests who have done Really Good Tuesdays (weekly night in Whistler at The Maxx Fish with me , The Librarian and Bi weekly guest djs

The mix starts out with some varying styles of the dubstep sound from dancehall,deeper,garage,a bit of metal and some melodic bits. 

Then moving on to some 808 Trap/ Grime type beats 
then onto some glitch hop , Footwerk , drum and bass.
Ending off with a bit of a Beastie Boys tribute after the loss of M.C.A. in 2012 R.I.P.

Mat the Alien 
(Monster Energy,Really Good Recordings,Squamish,Whistler,Outer Space)

Heres a mix of some of my favorite bits from the festivals last year 
Shambhala , Bass Coast , Diversity , Motion Notion , Rifflanida , Tall Tree

As always been trying to represent many genres and styles within each genre lots of friends beats
and Guests who have done Really Good Tuesdays (weekly night in Whistler at The Maxx Fish with me , The Librarian and Bi weekly guest djs 
)

The mix starts out with some varying styles of the dubstep sound from dancehall,deeper,garage,a bit of metal and some melodic bits. 

Then moving on to some 808 Trap/ Grime type beats 
then onto some glitch hop , Footwerk , drum and bass.
Ending off with a bit of a Beastie Boys tribute after the loss of M.C.A. in 2012 R.I.P. 


Not forgetting some alien skratchy bits thrown in there too!!
