Born and raised in Chicago on a diet of jackin’ house and acid heritage, Alinka first made a name for herself as a resident at the city’s legendary Smart Bar club. She later relocated to Berlin and set about bolstering her burgeoning production career. She makes throbbing, thumping house and tech with splashings of acid and electro worked in. It’s body music that’s made to be played loud and to be felt as well as heard. Releases on Crosstown Rebels, Lovecrimes, Classic and her own Twirl imprint have helped to make the world sit up and take attention, as have her ongoing collaborations with sultry-toned former Hercules & Love Affair contributor Shaun J. Wright.
