2 week Beatport exclusive from 21 April 2020 and then on general release

We're delighted to welcome Mogi Wa Wa with their debut release 'The Amber Nectar' to DeepDownDirty! They've created sterling remixes for us in the past for a number of projects but 'The Amber Nectar' is the tech house aficionados' first EP with us.

Mogi Wa Wa, aka Andy and Matt, are not only producers but also talented musicians and many of their tracks come about as a result of Andy developing a rhythm on his guitar then adding a melody, some chord progression and perhaps a piano part. The title track on this release, 'Amber Nectar', went back and forth between this musical pair a number of times until they were both happy they had enough to build a track from then the arrangement and then production started in earnest.

They tell us that this is pretty much how all their tracks evolve although which of the duo kicks off proceedings does vary and at the initial stage they do sometimes bin ideas instead of trying to force them as they feel such 'forcing' this is not necessarily a good way to start a track.

Matt says:
'The Amber Nectar track really started like this too with a guitar solo that Matt added effects too and we both thought it sounded like it had an Australian vibe so the Amber Nectar became the early track title that stuck.
We tend to try and keep away from 'New Project', 'New Project 2' etc titles, although this is how the title of the track 'New April' started off. The EP really was three tracks that we felt worked well together from about 7 tracks we have worked on in the last year. You could also say that 'The Amber Nectar' is all about booze, drinking too much, giving it up and feeling free and starting life again alcohol-free in a New April. But I still like a drink as much as Andy does ha ha so it's not about us.'

Anyway, whether you're tee-total or not ;) please take some time to check out tech house from Mogi Wa Wa and support them in these places:
