"Der Weltraum, unendliche Weiten ..." es soll Menschen geben, die noch nie von den Abenteuern des Raumschiffs Enterprise hörten ... Ich kann mich noch gut daran erinnern, wie ich Ende der 70er Urlaub auf einer abgelegenen Insel in einem norwegischen Fjord machte. Wenn es dort Nacht wurde, dann war dann auch Nacht (es war außerhalb der Zeit der Mitternachtssonne). So einen nächtlichen Sternenhimmel, in dieser gewaltigen Pracht und Fülle habe ich seit dem nie mehr gesehen.

“Electronic Vintage” is the name that the German Musician mikebo gave to his audio-visual performance, which combines synthesizer-based compositions with video-art-work.

According to mikebo, the creation of musical structures can well be compared with the act of painting or sculpting. The experimentation with various sounds inspired mikebo and let to the production of his songs. As a result, melodies and harmonic structures can be considered to be the direct outcome of the inspiration he got by discovering new interesting sounds and effects.

Given that, it is clear why some sounds could be perceived as soundtracks: with the power of imagination, you easily will be able to discover the pictures which belong to the musical “movie.”

“Electronic Vintage” is the name that the German Musician mikebo gave to his audio-visual performance, which combines synthesizer-based compositions with video-art-work.

According to mikebo, the creation of musical structures can well be compared with the act of painting or sculpting. As a result, melodies and harmonic structures can be considered to be the direct outcome of the inspiration he got by discovering new interesting sounds and effects.
