6. Mike Callander on Triple J mixup 2004 original

Again with this mix I feel this uncanny sense of time and place. It aired on Triple J Mixup in 2004, but I can remember recording it one Saturday afternoon in my new house in West Melbourne after being out all night gigging. The next door neighbour was not impressed, and I had Nicole Foote from Triple J calling me to say "I really need that mix!" before her show that night.

Somehow I can remember all this while I listen... and yet I don't think it captures any of that urgency just by the selection alone.

Anyway, I hope you're enjoying this mix and the other 31 from the archives that I've scheduled for publication this month :)
