Melvin Kruger aka Dj Laschem hails from the sunny Province of North West in a City Called Promosa, Potchefstroom. He completed his high school career in Potch and moved to Pretoria to begin his University Studies. The passion and love for Soulful House goes as far back as the year 1992, “my move to Pretoria in 2003 was exactly for that reason House Music''. Dj Laschem pursued his music career at The Tshwane University of Technology but had to balance it with his books to ensure he graduates in record time. Laschem became a resident Dj at Top Stereo (Varsity Radio Station) with Dj Tebogo on the Afternoon Drive and played at various gigs on campus. In 2007 Laschem moved to the City of Ekurhuleni for work and also to continue with his music and events company. Dj Laschem who is very passionate about academics and technical skill enrolled at Soul Candi for a Dj 101 course and later started producing his own music which he releases under his label Baainar Records. Laschem has released 10 singles to date and is currently working on his debut EP set to be released later this year with executive producer/singer/songwriter Komplexity. Dj Laschem has traveled the world chasing his passion and love for music, in 2014 he attended the Miami Music Conference and played at several gigs in Ocean Drive, Miami, Florida.
