The TrainEE Mini-Series

my new mini-mix-series. all done on a train on my way to work. expect some glitches. read more...

What is the "TrainEE Mini-Series" ?

I'm a father since a few month. As you can imagine, this new "hobby" takes a great amount of time. Time to select tracks and record a proper mix is very rare... But there are still some killer tracks in my pocket... how can I play them out to you, keep myself trained on the decks and express my love for those hot beats within this new situation?

I decided to do this new playlist / Series of mixes besides my normal set uploads that come from club gigs or mixing at my home studio.
I was thinking about this idea for a while...
The mixes you will find here are all done ON THE ROAD. Actually these were all recorded while I'm on a train / underground (berlin sbahn or Bvg) on my way to work or back home.
Everything is Mixed on my iPhone. So there is no big preselection, no fancy effects, cuing or beatjuggling. It's just most basic mixing by chance with the stuff I have on my phone. So you can expect some glitches and bumps and a few harsh transitions.
BUT I can try (and show you) some fresh tracks and try how they fit together before they end up in my Dj bag. That way you and I will whiteness some interesting combinations.
One way to my work is taking around 40 minutes. Most of the time I record some stuff on the one way and the second half on my way back home. I put these two parts together and end up with these mixes around 1h and a few minutes to upload.
It's not the same as with some proper Dj gear but it works and is at least very entertaining :-)

Enjoy the TrainEE series and take a ride with me.

Big beardy love.
