maxhovel was born in Hamburg, but started in Osnabrück where he spend most of his life. After 19 years he returned to Hamburg in summer 2011. He gained his first experience in front of a crowd playing in several clubs in Osnabrück. His sound goes from deep house to techno and is mostly spheric and dreamlike.

A spontaneous first open air gig at the beach of the Elbe river in summer 2011 changed everything. New contacts were made. Lots of gigs followed. In the same year he created the ENIGMA series together with Fred (stadtmensch)
