Since 1993, Matt Xavier's contribution to the global electronic music culture has been undeniably psychedelic. In the early 1990's Matt (formerly Matthew Magic) founded New York City's first goa/psytrance company, Tsunami Productions, where he served as resident DJ/music director until the turn of the millennium. During that time he shared the stage with such international talents as Juno Reactor, Hallucinogen, X-Dream, KoxBox, Son Kite, GMS, Total Eclipse, Slinky Wizard and Green Nuns of the Revolution. Soon after he retired the format and began producing deep techno, house and progressive under the moniker "Gruvhaus", with releases & remixes appearing on such labels as Fabric, Release Records, Polyester Music, Fugu and Chug Records. In 2005 Matt founded the internationally acclaimed techno label Railyard Recordings, who attracted such talents as Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Alexi Delano, Donato Dozzy, Adultnapper, Mathew Jonson, and Justin Scott Dixon aka Voyager. Since his 2003 arrival in Los Angeles, Matt has held the role of resident DJ/music director at Subtract Music, Compression, and $2 Tuesday's as well as continued to present his brand of psychedelic house and trippy techno at such notable events/venues as Lightning in a Bottle, Moontribe, Symbiosis, Giant, Spundae, Avalon, Vanguard, 1015 Folsom, Circus Disco and King King Hollywood.
