Very few would dispute Mark Angel as being one of the more prominent and exciting figures to emerge from the dark corners of Chicago’s Underground Scene in recent years. An accomplished Producer, in-demand remixer and versatile performer, he has fast transitioned from Chicago‘s best-kept secret to one of Technos’ up-coming leading lights, internationally supported by and on a par with genre-defying luminaries such as Mattias Fridell, Truncate/Audio Injection, Markus Suckut, Drumcell, Luis Flores & Robert Hood.

Despite enjoying worldwide notoriety through his signature style production and on deck live performances, Mark hasn’t forgotten his home grown roots of Chicago. founding FORMAT RECORDINGS (FORMAT-REC) in 2012. The label has already jumped into the ranks of international support from many of the industries heavy-hitters, being defined as a forward pushing imprint showcasing international & local talents such as, Ricardo Garduno, UVL, Komprezzor, Jeff Derringer, Submerge, Hyperactive, Angel Alanis and many more. All in a move to further raising the profile of Chicago’s Techno scene in North America and abroad.
